NEWS AND EVENTS

It’s #FeatureFriday and today we are featuring A It’s #FeatureFriday and today we are featuring Adam!

“Hey, my name is Adam! I am from Burnley, England and I'm majoring in computer science.

My dream was always to be a footballer (soccer player) however an injury put me out of contention and that’s what led me to esports! I was a professional for 5 years and was fortunate enough to travel a lot of the world and made some amazing memories during that time. My favorite memory growing up was meeting my “gaming” best friends when we all got signed to a professional team and moved to the Netherlands to compete. It felt so surreal to accomplish that with my close friends! However, time has passed and now I feel that coming back to education is the right decision, as the industry currently is struggling and I'm not sure how sustainable it is to try to compete right now. I would love to get back to playing on stage in front of a crowd once again whether that is representing Maryville or returning to the professional scene.”
