Happy Friday Saints! ☀️ This week’s #Feature Happy Friday Saints! ☀️ This week’s #FeatureFriday is Emilee!

“Hi! My name is Emilee Luetkemeyer. I am from Webster Groves, Missouri, and I am a fourth year nursing major! I am currently the President of Notorious: Maryville’s acappella group and HEROs. Plus, I am an apprentice for Health & Wellness, and I also work at SSM St. Clare in the Birthplace as a nurse extern and will be working there as a nurse after graduation! After a few years as a floor nurse, I plan to get my masters in nursing education and/or leadership to work as a university professor, health educator, or hold a leadership position in a hospital.

As the President of HEROs, and an apprentice for Health & Wellness, I am able to utilize my love of medicine and education to share important health topics with Maryville students. This semester, with HEROs and Notorious, I have had the opportunity to plan over ten different events including the Health Fair and the Spring Acappella Concert.

Besides school, my hobbies including reading, cooking, binge watching tv, and singing! I love being able to be fully immersed in a story and be able to escape reality and take a break from studying! Additionally, my favorite book series is “Caraval”, my favorite movie is “How To Train Your Dragon”, and my favorite quote is “When life throws you a rainy day, play in the puddles.”

I have loved my time in Notorious and HEROs, and I feel that being an officer has helped me gain a ton of valuable leadership skills. Other than being a part of those groups, my favorite memory from the past four years was my time on Maryville’s Disney Leadership Trip!”
