MUSIC ON THE HILL

MUSIC ON THE HILL

In February, 25 students and faculty from Maryville’s Music Therapy Program traveled to Jefferson City, Missouri, to lobby state senators and representatives about the importance of music therapy and the need for more licensure. During the visit, the group was let into the Whispering Gallery of the Missouri State Capitol to perform “God Bless America.” Legislators and staff at the bottom of the rotunda enjoyed the impromptu performance and gave a round of applause when it was over. From left, Paden Gunlock, Megan Pomilee, Maddie-Rose Ortinau, Cherry Nguyen and Hannah Wright.
